"Kisses from Catullus" neckpiece

A piece inspired by the poetry of Roman citizen Gaius Valerius Catullus (82 BC - c. 54 BC). One translation of a poem to his lover Clodius declares:

"You ask me how many times we will kiss: I say 'As many as the stars in a tacit night, that watch as furtive lovers lie embracing. A sum to thwart the reckoning of gossips, and to silence the spell-casting tongues of envy.' "

"Kisses from Catullus" is made of sterling silver with enameled flowers and pods, gold pods and buds, and fresh water pearls; or sterling silver with just fresh water pearls. No two pieces are exactly alike.
